VINYASA Krama

I studied vinyasa krama in a comprehensive manner with Srivastava Ramaswami sir in Chennai. Vinyasa krama is based on the parameters mentioned in the yoga sutras and involves practicing a sequence of asana movements synchronized with breath. The parameters of yoga include steadiness, comfort, coordination of breathing, slow and smooth breathing, and focus on the breath. The practice of vinyasa krama exercises the joints, muscles, and tissues, promoting proper circulation of blood, lymph, and life energy. It was observed by ancient practitioners that the body sags with age, leading to the displacement of internal organs and the development of diseases. To address this, they devised innovative procedures and identified the six main organs contained in connective tissues within three cavities of the body. Vinyasa krama is considered a comprehensive tool for the entire spectrum of yoga practice.
